There is a moment in the dawn of Easter morning where time seems to hold its breath. The stone has been rolled away. The burial cloths lie folded. The body is gone—but not stolen. Risen.
This is not the ending of a tragic story. It is the beginning of eternity.
Death Has Lost Its Sting
The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a metaphor. It is not symbolic. It is a bodily, historical, and eternal event. The same Christ who was crucified under Pontius Pilate, who was laid in a sealed tomb under Roman guard, now stands in glory—victorious over death.
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.”
— Luke 24:5-6
This is the axis on which all of human history turns.
With the Resurrection, the curse of Eden is broken. The gates of Heaven are opened. And sin, once a tyrant, is dethroned by mercy.
Light Breaking Through
In sacred art, Easter is often painted with golden light flooding the tomb. Christ is robed in brilliance, holding a white banner marked with the red cross—symbolizing both His Passion and His victory. The soldiers fall back in awe, the earth trembles, and the angels sing.
But the Resurrection wasn’t just a divine display of power. It was the moment Love proved stronger than death.
The One who bore our wounds now bears them glorified. His glorified body is not a rejection of the cross—but a revelation of what the cross accomplished.
A Call to Live Risen
Easter is not just something we celebrate—it’s something we are called to live. St. Paul urges us:
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above.”
— Colossians 3:1
To live Easter is to walk as people of the Resurrection. People of joy. People of mercy. People who know that every Good Friday in our lives—every trial, every suffering, every tomb—will be answered by an empty grave.
The Church Rejoices
In the Easter Vigil liturgy, we hear the ancient hymn:
“O happy fault, O necessary sin of Adam, which gained for us so great a Redeemer!”
Only in the light of the Resurrection can we understand the depths of that joy. Sin is not greater than grace. Darkness cannot overcome the Light. The tomb has become a womb of new life.
Alleluia! He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Let this truth echo in your home, in your art, in your work, and in your witness. The world needs the light of Resurrection. You are sent to carry it.
🕊️ Christ has conquered death. Let us live like it’s true.
