This radiant portrait of St. Pope Pius X captures his legacy as the Pope of the Eucharist. Born Giuseppe Sarto, the humble son of a postman and a seamstress, he rose to the papacy in 1903 with the motto: Instaurare Omnia in ChristoTo restore all things in Christ.

The artwork highlights his devotion to the Eucharist, his pastoral heart, and his prophetic vision. He holds a golden monstrance with the Blessed Sacrament, symbolizing his encouragement of frequent Holy Communion and his groundbreaking decision to lower the age for First Communion to just seven years old. An open book represents his teaching and defense of Catholic doctrine, while surrounding symbols — the lily, the beehive, and children at prayer — recall his purity, diligence, and love for the young.

Rendered in ultra-lifelike watercolor style, this print blends Renaissance-inspired ornamentation with sacred symbolism, making it a timeless devotional piece.

Pope St. Pius X (1835–1914) was born in humble poverty as Giuseppe Sarto in Riese, Italy. After serving as a parish priest, bishop, and Patriarch of Venice, he was elected pope in 1903. Known for his simplicity and kindness, he transformed Catholic life by restoring Eucharistic devotion, promoting Gregorian chant, and defending the Church against Modernism. He died heartbroken at the outbreak of World War I, calling it “the suicide of civilized Europe.” Canonized in 1954, he is remembered as a true shepherd of Christ’s flock.
