St. Perpetua and St. Felicity
Martyrs of Courage and Communion
$5.00
Step into the ancient Colosseum of Carthage with this striking digital portrait of St. Perpetua and St. Felicity, two young mothers, two martyrs, two fearless saints. Draped in royal robes and golden crowns, they stand tall in their dignity and faith, holding Perpetua’s child—symbol of the love, sacrifice, and courage that shaped their final testimony.
In the background, the arena awaits—a place where beasts once roared, but grace roared louder. This sacred image evokes not just the historical drama of martyrdom but the eternal truth that no earthly fear can overpower heavenly hope.
Short Biography:
St. Perpetua, a noblewoman, and St. Felicity, her servant and friend, were arrested in 203 A.D. in Carthage for refusing to renounce their Christian faith. Both were young mothers—Felicity gave birth in prison shortly before her execution. Despite brutal persecution and the pleas of their families, the women remained steadfast in Christ. They were condemned to death in the amphitheater, torn by wild beasts, and finished off by the sword. Their martyrdom became one of the earliest and most moving accounts of Christian witness, recorded partly by Perpetua herself.
