Short Biography:

St. Julia of Corsica (5th century) was a Christian slave and virgin martyr who lived during the time of the Roman Empire. Captured and sold after a raid on her homeland, she remained unwavering in her devotion to Christ, even while in bondage. When her pagan captors demanded she renounce her faith, Julia refused and was cruelly crucified for her steadfast witness.

She is one of the patron saints of Corsica and is honored for her courage, purity, and joyful acceptance of suffering for Christ.
