$5.00
This richly detailed portrait captures St. Harvey (also known as Hervé)—the blind Breton abbot, monk, and minstrel whose life was marked by holiness, music, and miracles. Clothed in a humble habit and framed in a golden arch evoking medieval manuscript illumination, he stands in a verdant forest path near ancient monastic ruins—symbolizing his life of wandering, prayer, and deep spiritual vision.
Though physically blind, St. Harvey saw with the eyes of faith. Known for his gentle heart, prophetic insight, and miraculous works, he remains one of Brittany’s most beloved saints.
Short Biography:
St. Harvey lived in 6th-century Brittany and was born blind. Raised in a devout Christian family and guided by a holy tutor, Arzian, Harvey became known for his prayerful life, musical gift, and spiritual authority. Though never ordained, he became an abbot and spiritual father. Legends tell of him taming wild animals, healing the blind, and singing with birds. He ministered especially to the poor and those suffering from spiritual oppression.
