Short Biography:
St. Elizabeth of Hungary (1207–1231) was a princess turned saint whose short life was marked by profound charity, humility, and service to the poor. Though born into royalty, she renounced worldly riches to live the Gospel. After her husband’s death, she joined the Third Order of St. Francis and built a hospital where she served the sick with her own hands. One of her most famous miracles is the “Miracle of the Roses,” where God turned the bread she carried for the poor into roses to conceal her secret generosity.

She is the patron saint of widows, the homeless, the sick, and Catholic charities.
