Honor the legacy of one of the Church’s most revered scholars with this luminous digital portrait of St. Bede the Venerable. Clad in a dark Benedictine habit, Bede holds a quill and an open manuscript, his piercing blue eyes focused in contemplation. Surrounded by shelves of ancient texts and framed with medieval gold accents, the artwork radiates monastic discipline, intellectual brilliance, and sanctity.

A golden halo bears Latin inscriptions, symbolizing his divine inspiration as a priest, monk, and Doctor of the Church. This is the perfect devotional print for lovers of history, liturgy, and the sacred calling of Catholic education.

Short Biography:
St. Bede the Venerable (c. 672–735) was an Anglo-Saxon Benedictine monk, priest, and historian who lived at the twin monasteries of Wearmouth and Jarrow in Northumbria. Best known for his monumental work, Ecclesiastical History of the English People, he is hailed as the “Father of English History.” His writings encompassed theology, science, chronology, and scripture commentary.

He was declared a Doctor of the Church in 1899—the only native of Great Britain to hold that title—and is the patron saint of scholars, historians, and English Catholic education.
