Short Biography:
Blessed Imelda Lambertini (1322–1333) was a Dominican child mystic from Bologna, Italy, known for her extraordinary devotion to the Eucharist. Though too young to receive Communion by the standards of her time, she longed deeply to be united with Christ. At the age of 11, while in prayer, witnesses saw a miraculous Host hovering above her. She was permitted to receive her First Holy Communion—and died shortly afterward in ecstatic joy. She was beatified in 1826.

She is the patroness of First Communicants and a model of pure Eucharistic love.
